    Biographical Statement

    Raphael Bodewig is a Carlo-Schmid Fellow at the United Nations University Centre for Policy Research. His internship is supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung). Prior to joining UNU-CPR, he contributed to the PeaceLab project at the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) in Berlin, working on crisis prevention, peacebuilding, and climate-security.

    Mr Bodewig is completing his Master’s degree in International Affairs at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. Previously, he spent an exchange semester at Uppsala University, where he researched trade-offs between post-conflict power sharing arrangements and democratization. In addition, he worked with human rights defenders and environmental activists during an internship with the NGO Corporación Podion in Bogotá.
