    Biographical Statement

    Banou Arjomand is Programme Officer for the High-Level Advisory Board on Effective Multilateralism at United Nations University Centre for Policy Research.

    She is concurrently a Research Assistant with the Global Governance, Justice & Security Program at the Stimson Center. Her research interests include strengthening and innovating global governance, geopolitics of South-West Asia and North Africa, and effective multilateral efforts of the UN and civil society. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Middle East and South Asian Studies and Persian Language and Literature from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

    She is a member of the Iranian American Women Foundation and spent two summers volunteering in the outskirts of Tehran, Iran. She has done research internships at the International Crisis Group and The Asia Society.
