Anthony Dursi leads communications for United Nations University Centre for Policy Research in New York and is a member of the Senior Administrators Group. He also acts as communications liaison between the UNU system and the UN Department of Global Communications.
Mr Dursi has over fifteen years of experience in policy communications and stakeholder engagement. He previously worked in global media relations for Squire Patton Boggs in Washington DC and London. Prior to that role, he was External Relations & Outreach Manager at the Inns of Court of England and Wales, where he launched a number of campaigns and outreach programmes that have been incorporated as best practice across the sector.
Mr Dursi has substantial higher education experience. He was Head of Civic Responsibility & Senior Advisor at the Russell Group of Universities, which represents the largest research-intensive universities in the UK, and worked in the executive offices at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Arts and McGill University.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts (FRSA) and was a founding Trustee of the Bridge Group, a social mobility think tank. He has researched and written extensively on social mobility and access to higher education and the professions and has published articles in academic journals, book chapters, national policy consultation responses, and press articles.
Mr Dursi is a graduate of McGill University (Great Distinction) and the London School of Economics and Political Science (Distinction).
