As the impacts of climate change become clearer, responses to them will require a transformational agenda. A more holistic approach to addressing gender, climate change, and security is necessary, but there has been minimal overlap of them at the UN to date. A new article in International Peace Institute (IPI)’s Global Observatory by UNU-CPR’s Adriana Erthal Abdenur, Mayesha Alam, Adam Day, Cristal Downing, and Beatrice Mosello considers why and how this should be done and outlines a policy and research agenda that can capture the critical intersection between climate action and the Women, Peace, and Security agendas.
