At the invitation of the UK Mission to the UN, the Managing Exits from Armed Conflict (MEAC) Colombia team briefed members of the Security Council on a range of topics ahead of the Council’s meeting on Colombia on 14 October and deliberations on the mandate later in the month. The briefing was based on research for two MEAC Findings Reports on climate, armed group recruitment, and other conflict dynamics, and on COVID-19 and armed groups, as well as findings on gender and reconciliation.
