Briefing: Navigating Humanitarian Access During Covid-19 – Towards Localization

    On 14 April, Dr Rebecca Brubaker participated in a Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) event exploring the challenges and lessons learned from the transformation of humanitarian aid provision during the COVID-19 pandemic. She discussed a recent UNU-CPR report, COVID-19 and Humanitarian Access: How the Pandemic Should Provoke Systemic Change in the Global Humanitarian System. Other speakers included Eranda Wijewickrama, Leader of the Humanitarian Advisory Group, and Smruti Patel, Founder and Co-Director of the Global Mentoring Initiative. The event was introduced by Jacob Kurtzer, Director and Senior Fellow of CSIS Humanitarian Agenda, and moderated by Kimberly Flowers, Senior Associate (Non-resident) of CSIS Humanitarian Agenda and Global Food Security Program.
