Julie Oppermann is Senior Adviser on Modern Slavery at United Nations University Centre for Policy Research.

Prior to joining United Nations University, Ms Oppermann worked for the Permanent Mission of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg to the UN and the Permanent Mission of the Principality of Liechtenstein to the UN. She also worked for the Consulate General of Luxembourg in San Francisco, California.

Ms Oppermann earned her Master’s degree in History from University College London, where she also worked as a Research Assistant for UCL’s Legacies of British Slave-ownership Research Project.
